Analytical department of Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine announced this information.

According to data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine during January-February 2017 387 tons of industrial milk was sold, which is 2.8% more than for the same period of the previous year. This amount of milk is actually 93% of all milk produced on the industrial farms. To compare, 91,8% of all produced milk was sold during previous year.

The components of self-cost this week have changed under devaluating processes. Comparing with the previous week national currency has lost 0.19 UAH in relation to dollar — 27.04 UAH/dol. (NBU). The average price for diesel gas oil hasn’t changed — 22.13 UAH/l.

As to purchase milk prices, this year they have started to fall much earlier than season of “big milk”. Despite processors complaints to relatively low purchasing power, the export trade in February demonstrated acceptable performance in comparison with the beginning of 2016.

The average price of Extra Grade milk on March 29 was 8.50 UAH/kg, which responses to the price level of the previous week. At the same time some possessors already send protocols for prices reduction starting from April 1, to 8-8.20 UAH/kg, and from May 1, to 7.80-7.60 UAH/kg.

The average price for milk of Higher Grade this week added 0.02 UAH/kg — 8.32 UAH/kg.

Price of Grade I this week was stable — 8.18 UAH/kg.

Retail prices for dairy products this week do not show the sharp decline. Thus, milk with the fat content 3.2% has lost in price 0.04 UAH and cost 24.10 UAH/kg. The average price of "Russian cheese" this week added 1 UAH — to 164.63 UAH. At the same time, price of butter continues to grow adding 1,60 UAH to 180.90 UAH/kg. Yogurt has added 0.10 UAH this week — 47.20 UAH.
