The price of raw milk in Ukraine increased by 0.22 UAH
As of August 23, raw milk in Ukraine rose in price by 0.22−0.23 UAH on average over the past month, depending on the grade. The likely reason for the upward revision of purchase prices is the reduction in the supply of raw milk in Ukraine due to the heat and increased demand from cheese makers and producers of fresh dairy products on the eve of the autumn-winter period of sales of dairy products, — reports the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers, Heorhiy Kukhaleishvili.
The average purchase price of Extra Grade milk was 11.80 UAH/kg without VAT, which is 0.22 UAH more than a month ago and 0.13 UAH more expensive than as of August 7. The range of prices for this grade in farms has not changed since the previous monitoring in the first half of August and varies from 10.50 to 12.20 UAH/kg without VAT.
