Analytical department of AMP announces this information.

According to monitoring from January 27, price for milk with fat content 2.5% in bottle hasn’t changed — 23.83 UAH/kg. Butter (fat content 82%) and cheese prices showed a significant “jump” last week. Butter added 0.92 UAH/kg — to 167.46 UAH/kg, and cheese added 2.78 UAH/kg (158.51 UAH/kg).

Yogurt prices also continue to rise actively — +1.12 UAH/kg to 49.03 UAH/kg

Factors that influence milk products price formation remain the same. On the first place —  increase of raw milk price, due to low supply on the market, and demand of producers for butter and cheese products (which are mostly produced for export with very favorable prices) and cost rise due to the devaluation.

According to last monitoring of January 24, average purchase price for extra grade milk added 0.02 UAH — 9.43 UAH/kg. The maximum price for it was paid in Sumy region —10.10 UAH/kg, and lowest — in Volyn region — 8.40 UAH/kg.

Purchase price for milk of higher grade also rise to 8.85 UAH/kg. Maximum price for this grade was paid in Poltava region — 9.73 UAH/kg, and lowest in Lugansk region — 8 UAH/kg.

The most significant price change showed milk of Grade I, adding 0.07 UAH/kg — 8.62 UAH/kg. Kiev region bought this milk at the highest price — 9.50 UAH/kg, and — in Lviv region the price was the lowest — 7.20 UAH/kg.

As it was mentioned before, a considerable influence on milk price formation has devaluation of national currency, which effects on increase of components cost.

Though last week dollar in relation to hryvnia (NBU) fell by 0.46 UAH and reached 27.21 UAH/USD, but in practice prices do not roll back.

At the same the price for diesel gas oil has also changed since previous week (21.65 UAH per liter), which is 0.16 UAH more.

This week we should expect rise of milk price for 0.02-0.05 UAH, butter and yogurt prices will also keep growing.
