Vets seized more than 1.1 tons of dangerous animal products
During the last week, Veterinary Medicine inspectors together with Veterinary Police workers checked 380 units that are involved in the circulation of animal origin products. It was seized more than 1.1 tons of dangerous products and paid over 22,000 USD of fines to the state budget.
Ukraine provides the measures to ensure a stable epizootic situation and food security. To do this, there are special mobile teams of Veterinary Medicine inspectors and Veterinary Police workers in all regions of Ukraine. Thus, last week they checked 380 units involved in the animal origin products circulation. Due to the threat of African swine fever entry onto the territory of Ukraine, inspectors checked 175 vehicles at day-night veterinary and police posts.
It was registered 172 violations and paid 22,219 USD of fines to the state budget. Vets have limited the circulation of more than 1.1 tons of animal origin foodstuffs. This is much less than during the previous inspections.
