Ukrainian milk prices overview
In early September, there was no seasonal increase in prices. The analytical department of “DYKUN” Company admitted that purchasing prices demonstrated stable trend. As of September 1, extra grade milk amounted to UAH5.14 per kg. The highest price was observed in Cherkasy region, reaching UAH5.20 per kg, whereas Sumy region demonstrated the lowest price – UAH5.13.
Prices for the highest grade milk reached UAH4.90/kg, keeping more or less stable tendency. The highest purchasing prices were observed in Kharkiv and Rivne regions, amounting to UAH5.14 and UAH5.11, respectively. The lowest price was UAH4.44/kg in Cherkasy region. Milk of the first grade increased by UAH0.1, reaching UAH4.74/kg.
As per the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food, the wholesale prices for dairy products stayed stable: pasteurized milk – UAH7.82/kg (+0.4%), butter – UAH59.51/kg (-0.4%), cottage cheese – UAH36.88 (+0.2%), sour cream – UAH24.07(+0.2%). Milk prices are expected to keep stable trend or increase by UAH0.5-0.8/kg.
