The exported grain processed products, including flours are gradually increasing. This was announced by Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
«The weather conditions will not delay grain shipment and Ukrainian farmers will gradually increase exports. Currently we have already had significant results. As of April 11, Ukraine has exported more than 20.2 million tons of grain. This is 3.6 million tons more against the same period of the previous marketing year,» Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. The Minister has said that corn forms the biggest part of the export. As of April 11, it has already been delivered to foreign markets almost 11.4 million tons.
The Minister has also noted such trend as a gradual increase of grain processing products, including flour. At the beginning of this marketing year it has been exported almost 160 thousand tons. At the same time, Mykola Prysyazhnyuk has said that existing stocks of grain are sufficient for domestic needs.
Thus, there can be grain exports in April-June.
«In Ukraine, there is no reason for a grain shortage at the domestic market. Moreover, the processes at the domestic and foreign markets will be taken into account and the balance will be corrected. In general, by the end of June, we plan to implement the forecasted exports of 24.6 million tons of grain,» Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said.
