More than 231 000 villages have been charged by donations in the amount of 183.6 million UAH for keeping more than 351 000 number of young cattle. This government program for the support of dairy cattle breeding industry sector has allowed for 9 months of the current year to increase the number of cattle in private households by 1.3% in compared to the same period last year.

Currently, in private households there are 3500.7 thousand numbers of cattle, and on farms there are 1544 thousand numbers of cattle, which is 0.4% more than the same period in 2011.
Totally, there are 5044.7 thousand number of cattle in Ukraine, which is 49.9 thousand or 1% more than in 2011.
As of October 18, 2012 116.8 million UAH was channeled to regions, and the rest 66.8 million UAH will be channeled until October, 23 of the current year after the execution of relevant documents.
In addition to the payment of donations for keeping young cattle, the government has channeled 10.2 million UAH for 2355 installations of individual milking operations, purchased by private persons.
