Ukraine increased grain export by 24%

 

Ukraine has already exported 1.7 million tonnes of grain, which is 24% more than the previous marketing year. To do this, the Government is actively working out the ways to cheaper logistics services. It was announced by Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.

«As of August 7, 1.7 million tons of domestic wheat were put to the foreign markets. Besides, nearly 1.5 million tons of grain were delivered to the port elevators and about 190,000 tons loaded on the ships,» Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said. The Minister said that the government is actively working out the ways to reduce the cost of logistics services. In particular, it was created a special group to solve this issue. «This year grain export will be a record. Therefore, logistics system should work very well. We continue to provide coordinated and quick work of linear elevators, rail transportation, transshipment,» said Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
