Ukraine has exported 1.16 million tonnes of rapes in 2012
For the last 10 months agrarians have exported almost 1.16 million tonnes of rapes on the total amount of more than 711 million US dollars. It is 465 thousand tones more against last year. In general agrarians have exported 1.2 million tonnes of this culture. This was announced by Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of the Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
«In the vegetation domestic production export system the big role is allotted to oil cultures among which it should be mentioned rape export. Thus, for the last 10 months it has been exported almost 1.16 million tonnes of rapes that is 465 thousand tones more against last year. In general, in 2012 it has been exported on the total amount of more than 711 million US dollars, that is 270 million US dollars more against last year», Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said.
The minister has emphasized that despite all unfavorable weather conditions agrarians have gathered 1.2 million tonnes of rapes, which will be almost all exported. According to Mykola Prysyazhnyuk in 2012 Ukraine has entered new markets, for example, the United Arabic Emirates, Portugal, Italy.
«The biggest importers of rape this year are Poland (304 thousand tonnes), Belgium (216 thousand tonnes) France (183 thousand tonnes) and the Netherlands (180 thousand tonnes)», Mykola Prysyazhnyuk added.
The Minister has also pointed out that this year it has been sown more than 1 million hectares of winter rapes and the sprouting is observed at 99% of territories. The biggest amount of rape is in Vinnytsya, Lviv, Ternopil, Cherkasy and Khmelnytsk regions. Besides, it is planned to sow 65 thousand hectares more in 2013.
