Ukraine completely used the annual quotas on export of groats, flour and corn to the EU - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
As of the beginning of May 2015, the agrarians of Ukraine, realizing commodity exports to the European Union within the autonomous trade preferences, completely used the annual export quotas for barley groats, flour, grain, processed grain cereals, and corn, delcared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on May 13.
According to the announcement, Ukrainian agricultural producers partly used the quotas for exports of wheat (they sold 402.6 thsd tonnes from the allowed volumes of 950 thsd tonnes) and barley (sold 5.6 thsd tonnes from the allowed volumes of 250 thsd tonnes). The quotas on oats exports was covered at 67%. Also, the quotas on sugar exports was used at 33.3% - the export volumes totaled 6.7 thsd tonnes, while the quota volumes – 20.07 thsd tonnes.
At the same time, agricultural producers did not use the quotas on exports of sugar syrups, processed milk, ethanol, and malt and starch by-products. The export volumes of the reporting items remained at zero level.
It is reported that in 2014, the export volumes of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU countries formed one-third of the general volume of the agricultural commodity exports from Ukraine. According to the Ministry, the exports totaled 7.7 bln USD in monetary terms.
