Ukraine almost completed the harvesting campaign of early grains and leguminous crops
As of August 10, 2012, Ukrainian agrarians completed the harvesting campaign of early grains and leguminous crops.
As of the reporting date agrarians harvested early grains and leguminous crops throughout almost 100% of the planned areas.
To date Ukraine already produced over 25 mln tonnes of early grains and leguminous crops in bunker weight, and the volumes in registered weight, i.e. in storehouses, totaled 24.2 mln tonnes. In particular, milling wheat formed 85% of the volumes. Ukraine reached the third largest results of grain harvested volumes for all years of the independence.
N.Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of Agrarin Policy and Food of Ukraine, also stressed that the conditions, which were formed on foreign markets, contribute to development of high profits. To date the world shows the situation, where grains will be in great demand, and the prices on foreign markets are growing daily. Therefore, in order to get high profits, Ukraine has to increase grain export rates, said the Head of the Ministry.
