Two Ukrainian companies plan to export maize to China — State Plant Quarantine Inspection
PJSC Company Rise and PJSC Rise-Maksimko, included to the agricultural holding Ukrlandfarming, and PJSC State Food and Grain Corporation plan to realize exports of Ukrainian maize to China, reported the official web-site of the State Plant Quarantine Inspection of Ukraine.
According to the announcement, these companies already passed the initial registration for the supply of maize on the Chinese market, according to the decree of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine #690 «On approval of the Order of registration of the entities, who are engaged in business activities related to the production and turnover of the regulated objects».
In November 2012 Ukraine completed coordination of the phytosanitary requirements for maize with the Chinese party, which allows starting to ship the grain to China.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy estimated the potential of Ukrainian maize exports in 2012/2013 MY at the level of 14 mln tonnes.
