The cost of milk production in Ukraine is higher than in Europe.
Today the European price for milk is 28-30 euro cents (per liter) without VAT. The quality of this milk is: protein content — 3-4%, fat content — 3.8%. The quality of Ukrainian milk is: fat — 2.5%, and it is more expensive than European.
Today in Ukraine high quality milk from producers is bought by 3.5 UAH per liter.
In Ukraine production of milk for I quarter of 2012 increased by 3.2% compared with the same period last year and was more than 2 million tons.
