Russian and Belarusian cheesemakers get super profit

 

Russian and Belarusian manufacturers of cheeses gained from trading embargo of Moscow the most. 

Profitability of the production is very high. Prices for raw milk have especially not grown, and manufacturers do not hesitate to raise the prices for cheese. Price has already increased by 20% from the middle of summer. Rise of prices for rests of European products is even more essential.

Prices for Belarusian and Russian traditional cheeses have risen to RUR 230-250/kg by the middle of September. Cheeses of well-known brands cost RUR 250-280/kg.

Rests of European cheeses are on sale at: RUR 270-280/kg for Gouda/Edam, RUR 300-310/kg –Tilsiter, RUR 350-360/kg – Maasdam.

There is still not much cheese from South America on Russian market, and it is not cheap. For example, Gouda from Argentina is offered at not lower than RUR 250/kg.
