Purchase prices for milk in Ukraine continue to rise
October 14, 2011, purchase prices for first-class milk from agricultural enterprises were set at 3,598 UAH/t. This is 1% higher than last year and 5% more than last month. The minimum price was set in Volyn region (3,100 UAH/t), and maximum — in Kharkiv region (4,100 UAH/ton). The price for second-class milk from the population was 2,645 UAH/t, it increased by 7% comparing with the last months.
Wholesale prices for milk (fat content 2.5%) inUkraineamounted 5.56 UAH/kg. The price increased by 1% compared with the same date last month and 7% with the same date last year. The minimum price was 4.81 UAH/kg inPoltavaregion, and the maximum one — 6.33 UAH/kg in Lugansk.
Retail prices for milk during the last month were 6.36 UAH/kg. It is 11% more than the same date last year and 2% more than the last month.
The wholesale-retail prices for butter (fat content of 72.5%) were 48.86 UAH/kg, it is 6% more than last year. Compared with the previous month price has increased by 2%. At retailer market the price for butter was 53.12 UAH/kg, it is 14% more than the same period last year and 2% more than the same period last month.
