Production of cheese in May increased by 19% to 15 thousand tons

 

Production of fat cheese in May amounted to 15 thousand tons, which is 19% more than previous month. Compared to May last year, this year’s production was down by 18%.

For the first five months of this year, it was produced 62.3 thousand tons of  cheese, which is 10.6% less than the same period last year. In terms of months fat cheeses were produced: in January — 12.4 thousand tons, in February — 9.8 thousand tons, in March — 12.5 thousand tons, in April — 12.6 thousand  tons.
