Prices for dairy products remain stable
As for July 1, 2011 purchase prices for first quality milk from agricultural enterprises were set at the level of 3,046 UAH/t. This is 18% higher than last year, but 1% less than last month. The minimum price was fixed in Odessa region (2,565 UAH/t), and maximum - in Cherkasy region (3,350 UAH/t). The price for second grade milk from the population was at the level of 2,000 UAH/t. Concerning last year it increased by 19%.
Wholesale prices for liquid milk (fat content 2.5%) in Ukraine were 5.35 UAH/kg. Compared with the same date last month the price has not changed, but concerning the same date last year, it increased by 18%. Minimum price (4.52 UAH/kg) was in Poltava region, and the maximum (6.27 UAH/kg) was in Lugansk.
Retail prices for liquid milk during last month didn’t change and were 6.22 UAH/kg. This is 14% more from the same period last year.
As for butter with fat content of 72.5%, the wholesale and retail price was settled at the level of 44.98 UAH/kg, which is 1% cheaper than last month and 19% higher than last year. Price for it at retail market was 52.96, which is 1% cheaper than last month and 18% more expensive than the same period last year.
