This year May at the raw milk market procurement prices declined. According to the processors’ words, it is likely that this season milk will become unessentially cheaper because of the prices got to the bottom. Thus, the average milk price from agricultural enterprises decreased by 2.6% and was at the level of 2.95 UAH / kg, which is 15.2% more expensive than the same period last year. Milk from private households fell by 1.5% to 2.00 UAH per liter. It is almost 30% more than in May 2010.

As for the milk price from the farms, which are the members of the Ukrainian Dairy Association, for the last month the price for milk has decreased at 3% to 3.3 UAH / kg, which is 12% more expensive than last year.

As for June 7 compared to May 24, 2011 purchasing prices for milk remained unchanged. The market is in a balanced condition. Milk from agricultural enterprises was received for the price of 2.9 UAH / kg, and milk from private households — for 1.95 UAH per liter.
