October 28, 2011, prices for young cattle meat of higher fatness with subsidies amounted to 16,462 UAH/t. Compared with the previous month price decreased by 1%, compared with the previous year it increased by 26%. The maximum price was fixed in Sumy region (18,600 UAH/t) and the minimum — in Ivano-Frankivsk (13,200 UAH/t).

Wholesale prices for first category beef stood at 32.09 UAH/kg. It is 17% higher than 2010 and 1% more than last month. The maximum price (38.5 UAH/kg) was recorded in Kiev region, and the minimum (24.50 UAH/kg) — in Khmelnitsk.

Retail prices for beef compared to the previous month increased by 1%, compared to the last year — by 11% and accounted for 41.73 UAH/kg.
