Ministry of Agrarian Policy negotiates with countries of the Black Sea region to establish the grain exchange

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine is holding negotiations with countries of the Black Sea region to establish the Black Sea grain exchange, which will allow to the Ukrainian grain market to become less dependent on world prices, declared Nikolai Prysyazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on December 2.

According to him, such agrarian exchange organizations usually become manipulators and play for falling of prices, but the Ukrainian market faces difficulties to cope alone with the world brokers. Therefore, the Ministry strives to open the Black Sea grain exchange in the nearest future, said the head of the Ministry.

Such stock exchange may become a tool for the Black Sea grain committee, if the list of participants includes not only Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan, but also other grain-exporting countries of the Black Sea basin.

At the same time, N.Prysyazhnyuk not called the terms of realization of the project.
