In July 2011, Ukraine has produced 1,199.1 tons of milk, 2,16.4 thousand tons of which from agricultural enterprises and 982.7 tons from private households.

In July 2011 compared with July 2010 milk production from all categories of farms decreased by 2.9%. In particular, milk production from agricultural enterprises decreased by 3.5% and from private households - by 2.8%. Compared to the previous month total output of milk decreased by 0.7%

As of August1 inthe agricultural enterprises there are 587.7 thousand cows, which is 2.1% less compared with the corresponding date last year. On the same date in private households there are 2,070.8 thousand cows, which is 4.3% less than a year ago. The total number of cows in Ukraine in terms of the year was reduced by 3.8% and amounted to 2,658.5 thousand head.
