October 7, 2011, the purchase prices for the first grade quality milk from agricultural enterprises were set at 3,569 UAH/t. This is 2% higher than last year and 7% higher than last month. The minimum price fixed in Volyn region (3,100 UAH/t), and maximum — in Kharkiv region (4,150 UAH/t). The price for the second grade milk from the population was 2,615 UAH/t. It is 7% higher than last month.

Wholesale prices for milk (fat content 2.5%) inUkraineamounted 5.55 UAH/kg. Compared with the same date last month, price increased by 1% and 8% compared with the same date last year. Minimum price was fixed inPoltavaregion — 4.81 UAH/kg, and maximum in Lugansk region — 6.33 UAH/kg.

Retail prices for milk last month were 6.34 UAH/kg. This is 11% more than the same date last year and 1% higher than last month.

The wholesale and retail prices for butter with fat content 72.5% were 48.80 UAH/kg, that is 9% higher than last year. Compared with the previous month price increased by 3%. In the retail trade network the price for butter was 52.99 UAH/kg, it is 15% more than the same period last year.
