October 28, 2011, purchase prices of first-class milk from agricultural enterprises were 3,662 UAH/t. This is 2% higher than last year and 4% more than last month. The minimum price was recorded in Volyn region (3,100 UAH/t), and maximum in Kharkiv region (4,100 UAH/ton). The price for second-class milk from the population was 2,721 UAH/t. Concerning last month it increased by 5%.

Wholesale prices for milk (fat content 2.5%) in Ukraine amounted to 5.61 UAH/kg. Compared with the same date last year the price has increased by 7%. The minimum price was 4.87 UAH/kg in Poltava region, and the maximum — 6.60 UAH/kg in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Retail prices for milk the last month stood at 6.38 UAH/kg. It is 11% more than the same date last year and 2% more than last month.
