Milk Alliance the first to deliver its products to the EU within the quota given to Ukraine
Milk Alliance has made the first supply to the EU within the annual quotas of milk and dairy products export set for our country.
The product — skimmed milk powder — was manufactured at Zolotonosha Butter-Producing Plant, which has the EU certification. The first batch of 20 tons was exported to Poland.
All information about closing the EU market for domestic dairy producers is untrue! Our European partners trust our products and know their high quality
Sergei Vovchenko, the Head of the Milk Alliance Supervisory Board
“This is a significant event not only for the Milk Alliance companies, but also generally for Ukrainian dairy industry. Skimmed milk powder supply was carried out under the agreement between Ukraine and the EU on free trade. I would like to emphasize that Polish veterinarians were rather strict: they analyzed samples of the product and forced to alter documents. However, as a result, we have implemented supply! All information about closing the EU market for domestic dairy producers is untrue! We have the right and can use the quota provided by the EU. Our European partners trust our products and know their high quality”, — Sergei Vovchenko, the Head of the Milk Alliance Supervisory Board, said.
In the nearest future, another 80 tons of skimmed milk powder will be exported to Poland within the signed contract according to the quotas allocated by the EU for Ukraine.
We would like to remind that in April 2016, Milk Alliance was the first among dairy companies in Ukraine, which carried out the order of the European partner for industrial supply of dairy products. The customer was the company Ukrainian Trade House «Nadezhda» from Varna (Bulgaria). The first batch of export to Bulgaria included cheese under TM Pyriatyn and Slavіa, UHT milk under TM Yagotynske, vitamin-enriched UHT milk under TM Yagotynske for Children, dairy butter under TM Zlatokray.
On January 10, 2016, Zolotonosha Butter-Producing Plant and the branch of Yagotynsky Butter Plant Yagotynske for Children, both belonging to the Milk Alliance Group of Companies, got the right to export their products to the EU countries.
