According to Ukrainian Committee of Statistics, milk production in Ukraine in January 2011 totalled 563,900 tons; agricultural enterprises produced 153,700 tons of milk and individual households - 410,000 tons of milk.

Total milk production was down 1.9 per cent from the same period 2010 (575,100 tons).

Despite the reduction in total milk production, the share of milk from agricultural enterprises increased. Milk production at agricultural enterprises was up 2.1 per cent in January 2011 from January 2010 (150,600 tons).
