In 2017, Ukraine to reduce agricultural production rates
In 2017, the general production of agricultural goods in Ukraine will reduce by 2.6% compared with the last year level, and total 247.9 bln UAH, declared the Director of the National Scientific Center “Institute of Agrarian Economics”, Academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences (NAAS), Yuri Lupenko on November 7.
According to the expert, the estimations are based on calculations by experts of the Institute of Agrarian Economics, taking into account the current market dynamics.
In the current year, the production of plant growing commodities in the country will total 178.7 bln UAH, a decrease of 3.4% compared with last year. At the same time, Y.Lupenko forecasted increasing of the production of wheat, rye, buckwheat, peas, rice and rapeseed.
As for livestock products, the downgrade trend will reach 0.6% compared with last total, and total 69.2 bln UAH, added the expert.
