In 2012/13 MY there is no reason to limit wheat exports — N.Prysyazhnyuk
On September 21, 2012 the Ministry of the Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Nikolay Prysyazhnyuk stated that there is no reason to impose any limits for wheat exports.
The Minister stated as of to date Ukraine exported nearly 1.2 mln tonnes of wheat. He forecasted that in November the sales of the grain on the foreign market will become less active due to the new crop corn supplies exports of which to exceed 12 mln tonnes.
N.Prysyazhnyuk underlined that Ukraine will be the stable partner on the grain market
He added that in 2012 Ukraine harvested 15.5 mln tonnes of wheat so it is possible to export to 5 mln tonnes. Then Ukraine will provide the domestic food safety.
The Minister reminded that in the current MY Ukraine plans to export to 22 mln tonnes of grains.
