Currently there is a constant cattle and poultry heads increase tendency and their efficiency indexes also increase in Ukraine.
For the last 10 months the cattle livestock has increased by 53 thousand heads, pig livestock by 123.7 thousand heads against last year. The cattle and poultry sales of live weight bases have increased by 2.2%. This was announced by Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of the Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

«I would like to mention that we can observe positive results in the animal agriculture. It concerns not only cattle decrease stop, but also other very important direction indexes increase. Thus, for the last 10 months the cattle livestock has increased by 53 thousand heads, pig livestock by 123.7 thousand heads against last year. At the same time the cattle and poultry sales of live weight bases have increased by 2.2% or 52.6 thousand heads», Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said.
The Head of the Ministry emphasized the important role of grant payments for young cattle keep and breeding. He informed that as on November 1, there are about 5 million heads of cattle and more than 8 million heads of pigs. In general, for the last 10 months agrarians sold 2.4 million tons of cattle and poultry of live weight bases.
