“Success in spite of crisis” is the motto of the III Ukrainian Dairy Congress (26-27 February 2010). It is the annual event, which traditionally unites best professionals of Ukrainian dairy industry.  More than five hundred representatives of the sector took part in the congress work: 340 among them – are directors, managers and specialists of the leading  farming enterprises; more than 90 – are representatives of commercial companies, leaders of world and Ukrainian markets; other participants – are members of processing enterprises, financial institutions, embassies and news agencies. The event was organized by Dykun Global Consult, Ukraine.

The first day of the congress was held in “Ukrayinskyy Dim” (Kyiv). The leading experts of the sector informed the participants about the current situation with milk production in Ukraine and in the world, tendencies in grain and soy bean market, situation and prospects of the national milk processing sector. After the general part the conference was divided into two sections, where the issues related to management and financial support of dairy business as well as technologies of milk production were discussed.

The second day was devoted to technical visits. The participants of the congress were welcomed by leading Ukrainian milk producers - “Ukrainian dairy company” Ltd (Kyiv region) and private farming enterprise PISKIVSKE (Chernigiv region). In spite of bad weather and terrible situation on Ukrainian roads, the participants of the congress managed to reach the farms and see that 9000 liters of milk per cow (“Ukrainian dairy company” Ltd) and increase in daily milk yield from 13 to 25 liters in less than one year (private farming enterprise PISKIVSKE) – are Ukrainian reality and not something beyond the wildest dreams.
