The Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine (ABM) and "Bel Shostka Ukraine" have developed a joint social project with the focus on healthy nutrition and dairy products consumption in Ukraine. The project is organized within the context cooperation and integration between milk producers and processors.

The organizers are planning a series of tours for schoolchildren from local schools to the leading milk enterprises of ABM in Chernigiv and Sumy regions.

During the tours the children will learn about way of milk from field to table as well as nutritional value of the product.

Nowadays, the Ukrainians are consuming less dairy products than the Europeans. Over the years of independence, the consumption of dairy products in Ukraine has reduced by nearly 60%. Meanwhile, they are crucial to maintain good health.

 Andriy Dykun, President of the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine:

- For our Association the production of high quality milk is a priority, because it ultimately means our concern for the welfare of our consumers. We, therefore, welcome the cooperation with processors, in particular, "Bel Shostka Ukraine” on social projects. Educational programs for schoolchildren are of great importance in the development of a new generation of educated consumers in Ukraine - and thus indirectly stimulate the development of the dairy industry as a whole.

- Our enterprise is a socially responsible company. We are deeply concerned about what happens to the society and the country in which we operate. As a producer of high quality dairy products (hard and melted cheese), we advocate healthy eating traditions in the country. And we are taking steps in this direction. One of them is educational programs for schoolchildren.
