Harvesting of early crops is almost сompleteded in Ukraine
Ukrainian agrarians have almost finished the harvesting of early grain crops. The total crop was harvested in the territory of 9,6 million hectares. It`s 99% of the forecast. The yield reached 39,4 hundredweight per hectare.
As of 15.08.2016 namely:
— Wheat have been harvested in the area of 6,16 million hectares or 99% of the forecast and and threshed 26,4 million tons of grain (in 2015 — 26,7 million tons) with the yields 42,8 hundredweight per hectare (in 2015 — 39,4 hundredweight per hectare).
— Barley have been harvested in the area of 2,86 million hectares (99%), and threshed 9,8 million tons of grain (in 2015 — 8,5 million tons) with the yields 34,1 hundredweight per hectare (in 2015 — 30,4 hundredweight per hectare).
— Rye has been harvested in the area 138 thousand hectares (97%), and threshed 373 thousand tons of grain (in 2015 — 359 thousand tons) with the yields 26,9 hundredweight per hectare (in 2015 — 25,3 hundredweight per hectare).
— Oat has been harvested in the area of 188 thousand hectares (90%), and threshed 481 thousand tons of grain (in 2015- 469 thousand tons) with the yields 25,6 hundredweight per hectare (in 2015 — 23,7 hundredweight per hectare).
— Peas has been harvested in the area of 236 thousand hectares (99%), threshed 763 thousand tons (in 2015 — 392 thousand tons), with the yields 32,3 hundredweight per hectare (in 2015 — 23,3 hundredweight per hectare).
Moreover, winter rape has been harvested in the area of 434 thousand hectares (96%), threshed 1,1 million tons (in 2015 — 1,7 million tons) with the yields 26,2 hundredweight per hectare (in 2015 — 25,7 hundredweight per hectare).
The highest harvesting of early grain crops is in Vinnytsa (55,3 hundredweight per hectare), Khmelnitsk (53,7 hundredweight per hectare), Cherkasy (52,0 hundredweight per hectare) and Kyiv region (49,9 hundredweight per hectare).
