From 7,300 to 8,200 within incomplete year

 

Such impressive results (+900 kilos of milk per cow within incomplete year) were achieved by private farm “Piskivske” in Chernigiv region. Sustainable development – firstly 5,300, then 6,300, next 7,300 and finally 8,200 kilos of milk per cow, - made this farm known not only in Ukraine but also abroad. Private farm “Piskivske” is one of the initiators and founders of Ukrainian Dairy Association (ABM).


The farm is managed by Valeriy Kolosha, who is very enthusiastic about cows and dairy business. High production results have been achieved due to great efforts of the farm managers and workers with the support provided by ABM consultants. The farm is considered to be among the leading dairy farms in Ukraine to use modern technologies in silage making, feeding and heifer production. Up-to-date automated programs are used here to better manage the herd and organize routine operations on the farm.

By means of hard management staff and UDA consultants’ work it was possible to realize the thing dreamt for many years. The farm is one of the leaders among milk producers of Ukraine using modern production technologies (forage provision, balanced nutrition, rearing), and also organization and management ( weekly rhythm work, computerized management program).
