According to him, the consumer demand on the domestic market will continue growing in rather slow rates, taking into account the current economic situation. Therefore, development of the export sales markets is the only resource, which can provide increasing of the domestic production rates. And State Service on Food Safety is the convenient tool for promotion of Ukrainian goods on foreign markets, V.Lapa stressed.

Also, V.Lapa added that the EU is a net exporter in most types of food products, so it is not easy to come on its local market.

At the same time, there is a tendency, when Ukrainian enterprises of the food industry apply for compliance with the European standards not to export their products to the EU member states, but for receiving of the so-called “EU registration number”.

Such permission to export products to the EU is some type of evidence that the production processes and goods of the company comply with the international standards. And it opens markets of other countries for the Ukrainian companies, said the Head of the State Service on Food Safety. He added that the Asian, African and American markets are also very interesting for Ukraine.
