European Commission to decide on safety of Ukrainian animal products

 

On September 16, the inspectors of the European Commission completed their mission on the assessing of monitoring of residues and contaminants in live animals and animal products, including control of veterinary drugs in Ukraine.

It is informed by the press-service of Ukraine State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

According to the results of the verification visit of the inspectors of Directorate General for Health and Food Safety (DG (SANTE)/2016−8897), a preliminary report with the recommendations of the Action Plan will be provided in 20 days.

After submitting the information to the European Commission about remedial measures, undertaken by the Ukrainian side, the final report on the situation with the state control over the circulation and use of veterinary drugs by business entities as well as control of their residues in animal products etc. will be sent to Ukraine.
