Eastern Committee of German Economy will facilitate the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in the development agriculture
Eastern Committee of German Economy will facilitate the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in the development agriculture. This was agreed during the meeting of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Kutovyi with Coordinator of the Eastern Committee of German Economy on cooperation with Ukraine and Dirk Stratmann and other representatives of Eastern Committee of German Economy.
During the meeting there have been discussed prospects of implementation of common standards in the field of agriculture in the context of the DCFTA, labeling and monitoring of cattle, certification procedures for foreign agricultural machinery and plans to export of beef to the EU.
In addition, the Ukrainian head of the ministry presented the prospects of creating a land market. In particular, he said that in order to lift the moratorium on sale of agricultural land is necessary to create an appropriate legal framework. «In the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine today there is drafted the Law of Ukraine «On the use of agricultural land," - said Kutovyi.
From his side representatives of the Committee invited Taras Kutovyi to attend the event which will be organized by the Committee within the Global Forum in Berlin (Germany).
The head of the agricultural ministry said that this event will be an excellent platform to introduce German colleagues the results of work of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and, in general, present direction of bilateral cooperation among the leading representatives of the German agribusiness and financial institutions.
