In July, the tendency of growth of prices for all types of concentrated feed continued. This phenomenon is quite predictable, because the stocks of sunflower and soybean in Ukraine continue to reduce, and the new harvest has not started yet.

At the moment the offer of concentrated feed is very limited. Most of the oil-extraction plants temporarily ceased operations and began planned repairs. Most of them will resume its activities after the launch of sunflower and soybean new crop.

Due to the fact that the harvest of 2011/12 marketing year turned out to be a record, the price for concentrated feed is high enough, but still lower than in the past year. In particular, by mid-Augustlast year the price for soybean meal and sunflower cake was 2,500 and 2,400 UAH/t, respectively, this year, these feed cost 2,440 and 2,210 UAH/t, respectively. Regarding soybean meal the current price for this feed is 5,900 UAH/t. The same situation is with soybean cake, in August last year its price was 4,900 UAH/t and this year it is 4,720 UAH/t.
