Weekly milk prices monitoring — September 21
Purchase prices for milk continue its increasing tempo. Extra grade illustrates the highest level of this growth.
This information is given by the analytical department of the Association of dairy producers of Ukraine.
According to the results of monitoring from September 20, the average price for extra grade milk 6.33 UAH/kg, 0.17 UAH/kg more than it was last week. The highest price for this grade of milk was paid in Kyiv region — 6.65 UAH/kg, and the lowest in Sumy region — 6.28 UAH/kg.
The higher grade milk (6 UAH/kg) has not changed its price since previous week. The maximum price for this grade was paid in Poltava region — 6.32 UAH/kg, and the lowest in Lugansk region — 5.50 UAH/kg.
Grade I milk also has changed its price to a higher rate, 0.07 UAH up — 5.86 UAH/kg. The maximum price for Grade I — 6.20 UAH — was paid in Khmelnitsky region. The lowest price was paid in Lviv region — 7.70 UAH/kg.
Global market is going on to show the signs of its recovery. In the latest GDT auction, dairy prices jumped 1.7%. At the same time, rates of milk production in Ukraine demonstrate a falling trend.
According to State Statistics Service of Ukraine, during January-August 2016 total milk production cut down to 2% — to 7.223 million tons comparing with the similar period of 2015.
