Weekly milk and dairy products prices monitoring
This week price for Grade I milk went up, while extra grade price was quite stable.
Analytical department of Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine announced this information.
Rates of prices growth was slower, than two weeks earlier. The main reason — reaction of consumers to another price increase on the shelf and reduction of consumption.
Export remains active, which allows to raise purchase milk prices.
Quite positive news was the information that Milk Alliance supplied Holland with 140 tons of butter. Furthermore, company plans to continue cooperation with Dutch partners and supply them with 200 tonnes of product next year. This will promote improving of the Ukrainian dairy products' positive image on the world market.
According to the results of milk prices monitoring from December 13, average price for extra grade milk followed an upward trend by 0.02 UAH more — 9 UAH/kg. The maximum price for this grade was paid in Kherson region — 9.50 UAH/kg, and the lowest — 8.40 UAH/kg in Volyn region.
The average price for higher grade milk reached 8.11 UAH/kg, which is 0.21 UAH more. The maximum price for this grade was paid in Khmelnitsky region — 9 UAH/kg, and the lowest in Rivne region — 7.75 UAH/kg.
According to monitoring results, the price for Grade I milk added 0.27 UAH (7,97 UAH/kg). The maximum price for it was paid in Kyiv region — 8.60 UAH/kg, and the lowest — 6.60 UAH/kg in Cherkasy region.
Retail prices for milk on the shelves added 1.32 UAH/kg more — 22.13 UAH/kg (3.2% fat content). Other whole milk group products have not changed their prices.
Butter price (82.5% fat content) this week was stable as well — 156.4 UAH/kg. Spread costs 66.3 UAH/kg this week. At the same time, “Russian cheese” price went 0.37 UAH/kg down — 142.68 UAH/kg.
