Ukrainian sea ports increased the grain shipments for exports

 

In the first quarter of 2014, the Ukrainian sea ports shipped for export 8.39 mln tonnes of grain cargoes (including 8.08 mln tonnes of grain), up 62.3% compared to rate of the same period of 2013, declared the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

According to the data of the Authority, the state stevedoring companies shipped 1.03 mln tonnes of grains from the Authority’s terminals (+134% to the level of the first quarter of 2013), the private stevedoring companies shipped 2.74 mln tonnes (+32.1%) from the Authority’s terminals as well, the stevedoring companies — 4.63 mln tonnes from their own terminals (+73.9%).

At the same time, in the reported period the sea ports shipped for export 1.68 mln tonnes of bulked cargoes (+14.3%), including 917.5 thsd tonnes of sun oil (+35.8%).
