Ukrainian grain industry is attractive for foreign investors - Credit Agricole Bank
Ukrainian grain industry is the most attractive for funding by foreign investors, declared Jean-Jacques Herve, Advisor to the Board on agricultural matters of Credit Agricole Bank, at the IV Ukrainian Grain Congress in Kiev on October 23.
According to him, while investing to the grain industry, foreign companies can already obtain income in a year, while for the dairy industry the index totals 25-27 months, he said.
Also, J-J.Herve called Ukraine as the leading country in Europe during recent years in the growth of grain exports, and providing of its transshipment through the ports.
At the same time, the potential of Ukraine’s development in the sphere is not reached yet, explained J-J.Herve. First of all, it is necessary to improve the system of grain storing. Also, the grain processing industry has rather great potential, and the Bank is currently considering the possibility of increasing the investment inflow towards the direction, said the expert.
