Prices for raw milk: Extra Grade fell by 0.40 UAH

As of May 9, raw milk prices in Ukraine decreased by 0.22−0.40 UAH compared to April. Producers are reducing the prices of raw milk in connection with the ongoing weak demand for dairy products on the domestic and foreign markets. To a certain extent, the change in prices was influenced by the high milk season and obstacles to export deliveries in transit through the EU due to strikes by transport companies in Poland.

This is reported by the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers Georgii Kukhaleishvili.

The average purchase price of Extra Grade milk decreased to 11.73 UAH/kg without VAT, which is 0.40 UAH less than in April. The price range for this grade in farms varies from 10.50 UAH/kg to 12.50 UAH/kg. The upper limit of the price range remained unchanged, but the lower limit fell by 0.34 UAH.

Higher Grade also fell in price by 0.40 UAH compared to last month. On average, the price of milk of this grade amounted to 11.73 UAH/kg without VAT, and the range varied from 10.00 to 12.10 UAH/kg without VAT, as in April.

The average price of Grade I milk decreased by 0.22 UAH, compared to April, and amounted to 11.42 UAH/kg without VAT. The minimum price in farms was 9.50 UAH/kg and decreased by 0.50 UAH compared to last month. The maximum price for Grade I was UAH 11.22 UAH/kg, which is 0.58 UAH less than in April.
