Government plans to cancel sanctions against some EU countries
The Government of Russia may consider cancellation of food sanctions against some EU countries, declared Nikolai Fedorov, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on April 7.
According to him, the presidential decree formed the list of countries that are subject to the food embargo, and the Government may have some offers taking into account the comprehensive assessment of the whole situation in Russian foreign relations with the certain EU countries.
N.Fedorov specified that the Government has discussed the initiatives received from a number of countries on cancellation of the sanctions, including Greece, Hungary, Cyprus, etc.
At the same time, he said that such decisions are unlikely to be made in the nearest future.
