2017 will not bring much changes to dairy production in Ukraine
As production of raw milk is shrinking, there is no reason to expect that dairy production will have grown in 2017.
However, the total volume of milk processed in 2016 has not changed much in comparison with that of 2015, when the decrease was very rapid. There is even some increase in production of some dairy products. A considerable decline can be seen only in cheese production. Manufacturing of fresh dairy products stays stable.
The following year, the situation in Ukrainian dairy will not change dramatically. But certain diversification of the product range may occur. The priority will be given to export oriented dairy commodities, especially butter and dry milk products. These expectations are based on the forecast growth of the world prices on dairy products.
