Weekly milk prices monitoring — October 6
This week milk prices set records. The average increase of price for all grades vary from 0.20 UAH/kg to 0.35 UAH/kg.
This information is given by the analytical department of the Association of milk producers of Ukraine.
According to the results of monitoring from October 4, the average price for extra grade milk was 6.72 UAH/kg, 0.33 UAH/kg more that it was last week.
The highest price for this grade was paid in Khmelnitsky region — 7.24 UAH/kg, and the lowest — 6.10 UAH/kg paid in Kherson region.
The average price for Higher Grade increased its rate to 6.46 UAH/kg, which is 0.34 UAH/kg more than previous week. The maximum price for Higher Grade milk — 6.88 UAH/kg was paid in Poltava region, and the lowest — 5.10 UAH/kg was paid in Chernovtsy region.
While milk of Grade I became expensive to 6.25 UAH/kg, which is 0.25 UAH/kg more. Kyiv region paid maximum price for milk of Grade I — 6.86 UAH/kg more, Lviv region paid the lowest price — 5.70 UAH/kg.
This level of prices is not final for this month. For the time being, milk for processing is in short supply. In this regard, processors continue to receive export offers. And as usually, the productivity of cows as well as milk production is declining.
