Raw milk prices have not changed

Purchase prices for raw milk of three grades have not changed since the monitoring was carried out in the second half of June. Price growth is restrained by the limited demand for exchange goods, the seasonal reduction of milk yield and consumption of dairy products, and the interests of processors, who do not benefit from the increase in prices for raw milk in the conditions of increased costs for logistics, electricity and fuel, — reports the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers, Georgy Kukhaleishvili.

The average purchase price of Extra Grade milk was 11.55 UAH/kg without VAT. The range of prices for this grade in farms varies from 10.50 to 12.20 UAH/kg without VAT and remained at the same level as in the second half of June.

Higher Grade costs 11.55 UAH/kg on average without VAT. Prices for Higher milk range from 10.00 to 12.00 UAH/kg without VAT. The price range has not changed since last month.

The average price of Grade I milk was 11.07 UAH/kg without VAT. The minimum price in farms was 9.50 UAH/kg and remained at the same level as at the end of June. The maximum price for Grade I was 10.40 UAH/kg, which is 0.52 UAH less than in the second half of June.

Accordingly, the weighted average price of three grades amounted to 11.39 UAH/kg without VAT and did not change.

Georhiy Kukhaleishvili suggests that prices for raw milk in Ukraine remain stable, as dairy farms optimize milk production to meet current demand in the domestic and export markets. In Ukraine, milk production and processing have reached a balance. Surpluses of raw milk, which affect the reduction of purchase prices, almost do not exist.
