Raw milk in Ukraine continues to fall in price

 

As of May 23, raw milk prices in Ukraine decreased by 0.37−0.43 UAH compared to April. Purchase prices continue to move down under the pressure of weak demand on the domestic and foreign markets.

It is reported by the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers Georgii Kukhaleishvili.

The average purchase price of Extra Grade milk decreased to 11.58 UAH/kg without VAT, which is 0.43 UAH less than in April. The price range for this grade in farms varies from 10.50 to 12.20 UAH/kg without VAT. The upper limit of the price range decreased by 0.30 UAH, and the lower limit decreased by 0.34 UAH compared to April.

Higher Grade also fell in price by 0.43 UAH compared to last month. The price of milk was 11.58 UAH/kg without VAT. Prices for Hihger milk range from 10.00 to 12.00 UAH/kg without VAT. Compared to April, the upper limit of the price range dropped by 0.10 UAH.

The average price of Grade I milk decreased by 0.37 UAH, compared to April, and amounted to 11.17 UAH/kg without VAT. The minimum price in farms was 9.50 UAH/kg and decreased by 0.50 UAH compared to last month. The maximum price for Grade I was 11.22 UAH/kg, which is 0.58 UAH less than in April.

Accordingly, the weighted average price of the three grades fell by 0.41 UAH and amounted to 11.44 UAH/kg without VAT.
