Purchase price for milk will increase in July
Ukrainian milk market began to show signs of stabilization only in late June, which did not allow to significantly affect the overall picture, and the average monthly prices showed a decrease.
This was reported by analyst of Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine (AMP) Yana Muzychenko.
Thus, cost for kg of Extra Grade milk fell by 0.04 UAH to 8.85 UAH. Higher Grade milk lost 0.06 UAH at a price and cost 8.45 UAH/kg, and Grade I lost the most — 0.16 UAH and cost 8.03 UAH/kg.
The main pricing factors were:
— seasonal peak of milk production in private households, which increases the supply of milk in the market.
— decrease in exports by major export groups compared to May: sales of butter decreased by 8% in natural terms, milk whey by 22.9%, and unconcentrated milk and cream by almost 50%.
However, stabilization factors began to increase at the end of June and in July they are likely to continue the trend.
In July, the average price for Extra Grade milk is expected to increase by 0.10−0.15 UAH, depending on the region and the volume of delivery. The most common offer will be the price of 9 UAH/kg.
