Dairy exports to decrease

 

This year exports of dairy products have markedly decreased.

According to April results, foreign sales of most dairy products declined compared with the same period last year. Butter sales declined almost two times, cheese products almost three times, the sales of whey and casein also significantly reduced.

At the same time, export of milk powder has more than doubled. Export sales of UHT milk also continue to grow.

At the same time imports of dairy products are steadily increasing. In April it was purchased 38% more whole milk compared to last year and 88% more cheese. Even imports of dairy fats and canned dairy foods began to grow. This is a very alarming signal for the domestic dairy business.
