19 Aug Ukrainian raw milk market in August
Prices for milk from corporate as well as individual sector are going up due to deficiency of raw milk in the domestic market. The deficiency has resulted from seasonal fluctuations of milk production in Ukraine and abnormal summer temperatures. August 1, 2010, the average price of milk produced by agricompanies was 3.15 UAH/kg - 14 % higher as compared to the average milk price on July 1, 2010.
02 Jul Danone to invest in 23 dairy cooperatives in Ukraine
Danone-Ukraine in partnership with Heifer International Ukraine intends to invest €1,000,000 in the development of 23 agricultural milk cooperatives in Kherson, Kirovograd and Zaporizhia regions as well as the Crimea in 2010-2011. Director of Social Innovations of Danone (France) announced the intention at the press conference in Kherson.
22 Jun Raw milk prices in Ukraine
After the spring reduction, the level of prices for raw milk seems to fix at the mark UAH 2.60 per kilogram for corporate sector. The average price for milk from individual producers is UAH 1.50 per liter. However, in the south of the country the prices keep growing because of competitive struggle for raw milk markets. In this region the prices range from UAH 1.70 to 1.85 per liter.

According to the National Committee of Statistics, milk production in Ukraine during January-May 2010 totalled 4,245.2 th. tons, down 2.9 per cent from January-May 2009.
